    Education at J. E. Terry Elementary is designed to meet the needs of all students. We believe that every child is a unique and important individual who can learn. We believe it is our responsibility to serve as facilitators for the development of each child's maximum potential academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to providing opportunities, which assist in helping students make self-directed, realistic, and responsible decisions.

     Each student will make academic gains according to the effort he/she puts forth. To increase the degree of success, teachers, parents, and administrators must communicate openly and frequently concerning students' progress.

    We all want the best for our students, but we can't do it alone! As parents, you must play a key role in the education of your children. Your words of encouragement, a hug when the day has been rough, your interest in your child's work, and your presence at school functions are essential!

    Parents are important! Come to school, meet us, talk to us, join the PTA and volunteer your time and energy. Your involvement will show your children that you value education.
