Facts about J. E. Terry Elementary School

Students attend J. E. Terry in grades Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.

We have an enrollment of approximately 135. We have 13 classrooms, one part-time counselor, one part-time librarian, one full time intervention/computer lab teacher, one full time reading coach, a multi-purpose building, one AMSTI lab, seven full time teachers, one full time resource teacher, one teacher aide, one resource aide, one janitor, one secretary, and one principal. We are a small school, which leaves many benefits. We are a family at J. E. Terry.

We have a jet for our mascot. One of our slogans is "Promoting Excellence in Attendance, Attitude, and Academics".

We have an Academic Clear Status score on the Stanford 9 Achievement Test for the years 1996 - 2007

We use the Accelerated Reading Program in grades 1-6.

We use ThinkLink in grades 3-6.

Students in grades K-6 use the Computer Lab daily to "surf the net", along with teacher supervision. They also work on skills that enrich what they are learning in the classroom.

Special Services Programs: Speech and Language Therapy, Psychometric Services, Learning Disability Classes, and Gifted Education Classes.
