The Dallas County School System operates a majority to minority transfer policy relating to desegregation within our schools. Under this program, your child can be authorized to transfer from a school where his/her race is in a minority.

Your local school principal and faculty will be happy to answer further questions about the majority to minority transfer policy. Requests for majority to minority transfers must be filed in writing with copies being sent to:

*the Principal of the school to which your child is currently enrolled

*the Principal of intended transfer school

*and the Superintendent's office for final approval.
